A story of passion
Above all, it is the pleasure of practising a physical and technical sport in the heart of nature, and of making memories with friends or family. In short, we are after shared emotions and sensations. It is also about getting to know the environment better, so we can respect and enjoy it more.
Mon Canyon was born in the Hautes-Pyrénées, where Fred guided canyoning for many years before settling in Guadeloupe. The Association Moncanyon Guadeloupe was founded on 17 May 2022 in Saint-Claude, at the foot of La Soufrière.
Where we are
Our trips take place on Basse-Terre, in the rainforest of the Guadeloupe National Park. Our base is at Habitation Dain, in Saint-Claude. We guide six routes, from Pointe-Noire to Gourbeyre: Acomat, Grande Rivière Ferry in Deshaies, Bourceau and Bois Malaisé in Bouillante, Rivière Noire and the Vauchelet waterfalls in Saint-Claude, and Ravine Chaude down to the Bassin Bleu.
How we guide
So that everyone fully enjoys the trip, we limit groups to 8 people. Our equipment is new or in excellent condition and checked regularly, for your safety and comfort.
Our guides are state-certified. Fred, who founded Mon Canyon, has 30 years of experience; he is a trainer and also takes part in rescue operations. The team also trains instructors and leaders for the national federations.
Routes from green to black
We choose some of the wildest and least crowded routes we can find. Vertical or aquatic, they are rated from green to black, from easiest to most committing: everything is explained on the canyoning levels page. Your health matters to us, as do your satisfaction and your wish to keep exploring.
